Mirte Bosch joined the Clingendael Institute as Academy Programme Fellow in April 2024. Mirte is involved in programmes in the field of conflict resolution and peace negotiations, as well as humanitarian negotiations. 

Prior to joining the Clingendael Institute, she worked as humanitarian negotiator in Syria, where she coordinated and led frontline negotiations on principled humanitarian access for an NGO platform consisting of 40 international and national NGOs. She worked as senior policy officer and diplomat for the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs at embassies in Iraq and Jordan, with expertise in stabilisation, rule of law, and humanitarian affairs. Prior to that, she worked as policy officer at the Department of Stabilisation and Humanitarian Aid in The Hague. 

Mirte has an M.A. in Conflict Studies and Human Rights, during which she focused on conflict resolution processes in Lebanon. Additionally, she holds a BSc. in Psychology from Utrecht University.
