The Hague, January 26th 2015 - The Clingendael Institute will start a research project on how to contribute to the effectivity of the battle against sexual violence in conflict. Clingendael’s Conflict Research Unit (CRU) will carry out this research, which is made possible through the generous support of the Nationale Postcode Loterij. It is part of a larger project on aid and shelter for the victims of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Lebanon. The aid will include medical assistance, psycho-social care, prevention and medical training for local doctors.
