Supporting the Syrian Summer: Dynamics of the Uprising and Considerations for International Engagement

This policy brief argues that effective policy vis-a-vis the Syrian uprising does not have to be guided by a clear vision of what should "come next" and who should lead a possible transition. Rather, international engagement should be aimed at creating consensus on political guidelines for a post-Assad Syria, and a context in which a stable and peaceful Syria can emerge.
