Adriaan Zondag

Adriaan Zondag is Head of Academy Programme Diplomacy at the Clingendael Institute since February 2022, after earlier working at Clingendael as an Academy Fellow from 2014 until 2019.  Adriaan is overall coordinator of the diplomatic training programmes, designs and implements training programs for diplomats and civil servants, conducts capacity-building programmes for other training institutes, and provides diplomatic skill trainings and workshops in foreign policy making & international law.

Before Adriaan returned to Clingendael, he worked as Political Assistant to the Minister for Trade & Development Cooperation mr. Tom de Bruijn (2021), as a Senior Policy Officer on Foreign & EU Affairs for one of the groups in the Netherlands House of Representatives (2019-2020), and as consultant public sector & EU Affairs at Berenschot. He holds an MA in international relations and studied International Law at Utrecht University.
