Recently, for example, Clingendael published Beyond scares and tales; climate-proofing Dutch foreign policy” a study on whether Dutch foreign policies in the field of development  cooperation, foreign economic relations and security are climate-proof.

Also for the coming year the Clingendael Institute will be contributing to the debate on the topics discussed at the OECD Forum 2015. The challenges with regard to Inclusive Green Growth transitions in developing countries will receive special attention. In a 1,5 year project , Clingendael will, together with local partners, address the question how energy security can be a driver for green growth policy options in respectively Colombia, Kenya and Indonesia. In line with this research, the knowledge group on “EU in the World” will also continue its research on the EU’s contribution to Inclusive Green Growth and the international climate change agenda. In addition, the EU position in the international negotiations on the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals will be scrunitised in order to give further insight in how the EU could use an increased understanding of emerging power’s perceptions of sustainable development in order to negotiate more effectively and strategically towards these countries.
