Capacity Building for Bangladesh and Pakistan
24 Feb 2014 - 09:40

A group of six senior officials from the Diplomatic academies of Pakistan and Bangladesh came to the Netherlands to attend a five-day intensive training program. The goal of this training was to enhance the capacities of their academies by the organization of various sessions and workshops on the theme of diplomatic trainings in the 21st century. This week-long seminar offered many opportunities for the Pakistan and Bangladesh representatives to reflect upon the significance of diplomatic training, the new trends in international relations and their impact on diplomats and diplomatic trainings, the future prospects and challenges for their respective diplomatic academies and to explore new forms of interactive training.

Complemented by a stimulating visit to the learning and development unit of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign affairs and various workshops on how to implement specific interactive skills training, the week has certainly been a quite busy and productive one.
