Lecture by H.E. Mr. Manouchehr Mottaki, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran on Iran's Nuclear Policy

January 2, 2007. On 6 December, 2006 the Clingendael Institute had the honour of welcoming H.E Mr. Manouchehr Mottaki, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Minister Mottaki, who obtained an MA in International Relations at Teheran University in 1991, has a distinguished career both as a scholar as well as in a national and international capacity.

He served his country various times as ambassador, a.o. in Turkey and Japan, and held various positions for the Iranian Foreign Office in the field of international relations and foreign affairs. In 1989 Mr. Mottaki was deputy Foreign Minister for International Affairs. In 1999 Mr. Mottaki served as advisor of the Iranian Foreign Minister. In 2004 he has been elected as Member of Parliament and from 2005 on he is Iranian�s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
