Intercultural Communication
- Centre for Intercultural Studies: In 1998 the Council of Europe and the University of Klagenfurt agreed on the establishment of a unit for intercultural studies hosted by the university and integrated into its institutional structure. The Confidence-building Measures programme within the Council of Europe is the partner of the CIS. In 1999 the CIS started its work as a university institution.
- Culturelink Network : Network of networks for research and cooperation in cultural development, established by UNESCO and the Council of Europe. Note the Culturelink Review and databases.
- Intercultural Communication: The goal of the journal is to promote research but also education and training in the area of intercultural communication. The journal is an outgrowth of the activities of NIC the Nordic Network for Intercultural Communication.
- Intermundo: intercultural communication: Intercultural Research Forum with links, mailinglist and resources for research in intercultural communications
- International Communication Association: An international association for scholars interested in the study of all aspects of human communication, as well as in the teaching of communication. Dedicated to promoting research in communication throughout the world, through journals, conferences, awards and fellowships, and other activities.
- SIETAR International: The International Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research is an interdisciplinary professional and service organization whose purpose is to implement and promote cooperative interactions and effective communication among peoples of diverse cultures, races, and ethnic groups. Its objective is to encourage the development and application of knowledge, values, and skills which enable effective intercultural, interracial, and interethnic actions at the individual, group, organization, and community levels.
- Society for Cross-Cultural Research: U.S. organization devoted to pursuing cross-cultural research from a multidisciplinary perspective. The Society includes Psychologists, Anthropologists, Sociologists, other social scientists, and members of other disciplines such as Communications, Business, and Education. One of the major functions of the Society is to hold an annual meeting The Society sponsors the quarterly journal Cross-Cultural Research, published by Sage Publications, and publishes the SCCR Newsletter.
