Proliferation of Non-Conventional Weapons

The proliferation of nuclear, chemical, biological and radiological weapons among states and non-state actors presents potentially one of the dominant threats to international security. Dr. Edwin Bakker, Prof. Dr. Ko Colijn, and Sico van der Meer MA research, publish and comment on international developments regarding proliferation and policies aimed at preventing states or non-state actors from possessing or developing these weapons. They also focus on non-conventional weapons in relation to terrorism.

CSCP co-organised the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons' (OPCW) Academic Forum on September 18 & 19, 2007 in The Hague, The Netherlands. Organised to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), this forum served as a platform for exchange between scientists, scholars, practitioners, diplomats, and policy makers.
