Clingendael Security Paper on Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban

CSCP will publish its sixth Clingendael Security Paper on the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). This paper written by the International Group on Global Security (IGGS) takes a look at the claimed merits and possible shortcomings of the CTBT. The authors present a number of ideas to further improve the verification system. They also discuss legal issues about the possible effects that ratification of the CTBT could have on the security of countries that, as yet, seem unwilling to ratify. The paper is not only informative, but also thought provoking to anyone who is involved in the field of disarmament and non-proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Read more »
