CIISS visits Clingendael
September 24, 2007. On Friday, September 21, 2007, a joint delegation of the China Institute for International Strategic Studies and the Chinese Embassy visited the Clingendael Intitute. During this visit, members of the delegation exchanged ideas on a number of issues with members of the Clingendael Conflict and Security Program and the Asia Studies Program.
After a formal introduction by Clingendael's director, prof. dr. Jaap de Zwaan, the participants discussed, amongst others, energy security, Europe's relation with both Russia and the United States, and the security situation in Central Asia - both from a European and a Chinese perspective. The participants agreed to look for ways to expand cooperation between both institutes in the future.
