International Workshop on UNSC Resolution 1540 26 & 27 March 2009
On 26 and 27 March 2009, the Netherlands Institute of International Relations "Clingendael" together with the Verification Research, Training and Information Centre (VERTIC) and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hosted an international workshop on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1540 (non-proliferation).
The topic was how best to implement the resolution at the national level through discussions of best practices and of policy and technical co-ordination and co-operation. Experts from international and non-governmental organizations, state officials, and members of academia and civil society were participating in the small-scale workshop.
