Help on search

The system provides on-line access (>50.000 records) to the CLI-database (CDS/ISIS).

Index

The Index consists of a number of values:
All subjects
Title word(s)
Descriptor(s), in Dutch
Author(s)
Periodical(s)
Language
Type of material
Date of publication

If you want to find a publication by an author, select from the index field the value Author, then enter a name to the keyword field.

KEYWORDS
(or descriptors, taken from the Clingendael Thesaurus)

If you know what to enter, just fill it in. If you are not sure which terms might be used in the database, use the List button.

If you press the List button next to an empty keyword field, the system will display a list in alphabetical order with the first terms.

If, however, you enter the initial letter(s) of a term, the system will display the list from the given letter(s) or the nearest one.

`$` can be used to truncate search terms.

When the term you want appears, click on it (it will become highlighted). You can add another term by simultaneously pressing the CTRL key and clicking on the second term. By pressing the O.K. button you can add the selected terms to the keyword field.
