The geo-political dimensions of the climate change debate

Despite growing public concerns and an apparent commitment by the EU, the future of international cooperation on climate change policies looks grim. The international community is preparing for a new round of negotiations at a time in which the future of the Kyoto-protocol is unclear, the need for sharp reductions in emissions is high and international cooperation in general is under pressure.
