Sustainable development in oil and gas economies
Stability of producing states is of great concern for energy markets. Unfortunately, it seems that there is a stong correlation between the problems producing states face and their resource endowment. This correlation has been called the resource curse. Rather than emphasise a deterministic relationship, CIEP prefers to pay attention to the overall causes and especially to problems of governance and the influence and role of consumer countries.
