Towards a low-carbon energy sector
CIEP Future Fuels Seminar Series
A future shift from fossil fuels to low-carbon energy sources might have important geopolitical consequences. Will biofuel producers like Brazil play a more dominant role in the future global energy sector? Will the Danish or German wind turbine industry become as powerful as international oil companies are now? Will nuclear powers like Russia, France and the United States ultimately provide a major solution for the future low-carbon energy sector? Or could the use of coal through carbon capture and storage become a promising pathway for the coming decades? What about the powers behind solar energy, hydrogen or even nuclear fusion?
Questions like these are addressed in the CIEP "Future Fuels" Seminar Series. The series began in 2005. Below is a listing of the events that have been organised to date:
