Russian energy politics

Russia has recently strengthened its position in international oil markets and is actively seeking to consolidate its position in the international gas market. The importance of energy exports for the Russian economy is increasing, and in order to solidify their position in international energy markets, the efficiency of Russian energy demand must be improved. Together with MGIMO, part of Moscow State University and linked to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and EDI, CIEP will undertake research on Russian energy.
