The US regulatory system, an inspiration for Europe? A perspective from the FERC
February 4, 2010. The Clingendael International Energy Programme is pleased to announce that on February 25, Mr. Michael McGehee of the United States Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), will give a presentation on “The US regulatory system, an inspiration for Europe? A perspective from the FERC”. In his presentation, Mr. McGehee will elaborate on the regulatory framework regarding gas infrastructure projects in the United States. In addition, he will point out the differences between the EU and the US on this matter. The FERC is an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of electricity, natural gas, and oil. Read more »
