CIEP Briefing Paper - The Dutch Upstream Fiscal Regime in Northwest European Context
June 9, 2008. The production from the small Dutch gas fields is rapidly declining. In combination with the increasing attention paid to security of supply, this has triggered discussion around the questions as to whether Dutch natural gas reserves are being exploited optimally and, in particular, whether adjustments to the country's fiscal regime should be considered in order to stimulate new upstream gas activity. A new CIEP Briefing Paper addresses this topic and provides a high-level overview of the Dutch fiscal regime and those of other Northwest European countries. Read more »
