CIEP Energy Policy Meeting: "Mind the Oil Gap?"
January 16, 2008. The International Energy Agency's latest World Energy Outlook noted a possible "Supply-side Crunch" in the oil market. The agency warned for "an abrupt escalation in oil prices" resulting from such a crunch. Various factors might come into play when assessing the origins of a structural supply shortage. CIEP has invited Dr. Colin Campbell (Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas) and Mr. David Fyfe (IEA) to assess these factors and give their view on the issues at hand. Read more »
