CIEP Seminar: “Challenges of the Netherlands’ energy policy: Developing strengths”

On August 25th, 2010, CIEP and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs will organise a seminar which will address key issues in Dutch and international energy policy. The speakers will elaborate on present and future trends and challenges in an international perspective. The seminar will be concluded by Maria van der Hoeven, Minister of Economic Affairs, with a reflection of what has been achieved in the past few years.
The seminar will address the key energy challenges and opportunities for the Netherlands as a major gas exporter with an excellent geographical position and with the ambition to extend its hub function on oil and gas to other energy sources. The seminar will also offer analyses and visions on future developments in renewable energy, gas, infrastructure and energy geopolitics.
Besides Maria van der Hoeven, speakers include key players in energy research and business. You can find attached the program of the event.
The seminar will be held under the Chatham House rule.
