The Clingendael International Energy Programme is pleased to announce that on December 10, Prof. Mark Nuttal, social anthropologist at the University of Alberta, Canada, and expert on Arctic-related issues will visit the Clingendael Institute to participate in a high level roundtable to discuss the broader Arctic energy relations.
Mr. Nuttal will speak about the (geo)political, economical, social and environmental aspects of the Arctic. Mr. Nuttal has conducted extensive research, and has written several books on among others oil and gas exploration and climate change in the Arctic. He is a contributing author to the IPCC report, lead author to the Arctic Climate Change Assessment, and member of various international and Canadian arctic organisations. He has lived and worked extensively in Greenland, Alaska, Canada, Scotland and Finland.
