Wednesday 26 April 2006, 13.30 hours to 17.30 hours

In the afternoon workshop on mobility and innovations organised by the Clingendael International Energy Programme and the World Energy Council on 26. April 2006, young professionals worked out their own solutions to mobility problems on global, European and national scales. The workshop was chaired by Ed Weeda (World Energy Council - Netherlands section).

After introductions about general trends in mobility, social aspects and possible technical solutions by Stephan Slingerland (Clingedael International Energy Programme), Peter Peters (Maastricht University) and Kas Hemmes (Delft University), around 25 participants from varying backgrounds worked in small groups on solutions. These were subsequently presented to, and discussed by top-transport-policy advisor Ewald Breunesse, member of the Dutch Transition-platform on Mobility.
