Seminar on the consequences of the terrorist attacks on the 11th September for the energy sector 10 December 2001

On the 10th of December CIEP organised a seminar on the consequences of the terrorist attacks on the 11th September and subsequent events for the energy sector. Short introductions were given by Rob de Wijk, Marianne van Leeuwen, (both from the Clingendael Research Department) and Coby van der Linde, director of CIEP. Issues that were addressed in the discussion that followed were, amongst others, the consequences for the development of oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea region, the likeliness of new attacks, the strategic energy supply (see also the report by Coby van der Linde from September last year on our web-site - report is in Dutch) and doing business in political unstable regions.

SeminarProfessor Coby van der Linde opens the seminar on the consequences of the 11th September attacks on the energy industry with on her left Rob de Wijk and on her right Marianne van Leeuwen.
