The most recent Clingendael Energy Paper Energiebeleid en de Noordwest-Europese markt: Brandstofmix en infrastructuur (“Energy Policy and the Northwest European market: Fuel mix and infrastructure”) analyses the key challenges in formulating a meaningful and effective national energy policy in the context of a regionalizing Northwest European market, focusing in particular on the fuel mix and infrastructure aspects. The US regulatory system, an inspiration for Europe? A perspective from the FERC
February 4, 2010. The Clingendael International Energy Programme is pleased to announce that on February 25, Mr. Michael McGehee of the United States Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), will give a presentation on “The US regulatory system, an inspiration for Europe? A perspective from the FERC”. In his presentation, Mr. McGehee will elaborate on the regulatory framework regarding gas infrastructure projects in the United States. In addition, he will point out the differences between the EU and the US on this matter. The FERC is an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of electricity, natural gas, and oil. Read more »
