Visit Dominique Moisi: Europe’s fearful future?
June 23, 2009.
On 22 June, prof. dr. Dominique Moïsi (picture) visited Clingendael for an animated discussion with a selected number of Clingendael experts. Prof. Moïsi is co-founder of Clingendael’s counterpart IFRI (the French International Institute of International Affairs) and recently wrote ‘The Geopolitics of Emotions’, in which he argues that Europe currently is in the grip of fear. The discussion with Dominique Moïsi centred on the future role of the European Union in the world, in the context of the wider project ‘Europa 2030’ by the Clingendael European Studies Programme. This project aims to identify the challenges for Europe's near future and the role of individual member states in this development.
