Expert meeting/Public debate: A new paradigm for EU-Russia relations

Recently, the newly founded European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) issued a challenging report on the EU-Russia relationship based on original research carried out in each of the 27 Member States, the ECFR's Power Audit of EU-Russia Relations, written by Mark Leonard and Nicu Popescu. This report, Clingendael's own expertise on EU-Russia relations, and the coming to power of a new president in Russia, Dmitri Medvedev, led to a joint initiative between The Clingendael Institute and the ECFR to organise both a closed door expert meeting and a public debate on Monday 10 March.
