Conference 'Finnish Presidency of the European Union' Wednesday July 12, 2006
On Wednesday 12 July 2006 the Clingendael Institute will hold, in collaboration with the Finnish Embassy in The Hague, a conference to mark the start of the Finnish Presidency of the European Union, during the second half of 2006.
The conference will be opened by the Finnish Minister for European Affairs, H.E. Mrs. Paula Lehtomäki who will present and discuss the Finnish EU Presidency priorities.
H.E. Mr Atzo Nicolaï, the Dutch Minister for European Affairs, will give a reaction to the Finnish EU-agenda, also with a view to current issues featuring prominently in the European debate. The speeches will be followed by discussion and questions.
The meeting will be chaired by Mr Hans van den Broek, Chair of the Board of the Clingendael Institute.
