Farewell to the Junior Diplomats from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

December 31, 2009. Farewell to the Junior Diplomats from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan after the conclusion of the Course in International Relations and Diplomatic Practice Training Programme at the Clingendael Institute from the 7th of December till the 18th of December 2009.

For two weeks the Clingendael Institute had the honour to host fifteen talented junior diplomats from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan working for their ministry of foreign affairs in Amman. The content of the program was as rich in variety as the professional background of the individual participants. The rich and balanced formula of lectures, seminars, and working visits to Dutch and international institutions dealt with a wide range of topics related to foreign policy, international developmental cooperation, diplomacy, energy, international peace and politics.

The program was designed to improve the participants’ diplomatic skills through extensive seminars and working visits, which enabled them to expand their networks and to enhance their knowledge and proficiency on different fields ranging from presentation techniques and international negotiations to political analysis.

On behalf of the Clingendael Institute we would like to thank the institutions who made this program possible and those who contributed to the success of this year’s program, not to mention the young diplomats for their outstanding effort and intellectual contribution.
