Master in International Relations and Diplomacy
January 1, 2005. The Clingendael Institute has joined forces with the Department of Political Science at Leiden University. The two institutions offer an ambitious two-year Masters Programme in International Relations and Diplomacy. The MA Programme offers a unique blend of academic education in international relations and political science with practical graduate education and training in the areas of diplomatic studies and international negotiation analysis.
Clingendaels' contribution to the MA degree builds on decades of experience in post-academic education and training for diplomatic services of many countries, as well as specialized negotiation expertise that is recognized across the world. The Institute's contribution to the MA degree will be taught in The Hague, a city of international repute in the field of diplomacy and international law, with institutions such as the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court, the Yugoslavia Tribunal, Europol, and other international organizations.
The MA Programme aims at the highest standard of teaching in international relations and diplomatic studies. It prepares students for careers in diplomacy, international governmental and non-governmental organizations, national and international public administration, think tanks and research institutes, international interest associations or international business.
